Ok so today was the opening of the exhibit so I stopped by the galley on my way to Fibers nd Textiles class and realized that the person who called me Friday was all wrong. ALL 5 OF MY PIECES WERE JURIED IN!!! I don't know of any other student ( let alone another freshman) that has 5 pieces in the show. The "Man Of Few Words" (Clint Eastwood) recieved an honorable mention (for which I recieved a hand-bound leather covered sketchbook made by one of the professors). There are some great pieces that were very deserving of 1st-3rd places, and one of my classmates recieved the scholorship for a charcoal drawing that he did. I'll post gallery pix soon and will move all 5 of my pieces to my "featured" gallery so that they are easly found if you want to look.

There is some great student work out there. I would encourage everyone to visit the college gallery near them and show support for these often under exposed new artists.
